Less material possessions, more joy and peace

I was at my happiest and peaceful phase in my 20’s when I backpacked the world while working as a WordPress designer. I literally had a 65L backpack and a laptop on me but the joy and peace felt like I am super wealthy.

Of course, we grow old, start families, and take more responsibilities. So the nomadic lifestyle is not possible in the long-run. But I want to take that mindset with me. I want to have that peace of mind and freedom I felt when I was backpacking.

I feel joy and peace when I experience life instead of chasing for material things. When I meet people who add different perspectives and stories. When the day is all about living instead of acquiring.

By consciously choosing simplicity—collecting stories and knowledge rather than things—I want to carry that backpacker’s peace with me, wherever life’s journey leads.
