Get rid of things that don’t matter

I have reread my writings in this blog and I have noticed that I tend to add things that don’t matter. It doesn’t add any value to what I am saying.

I remember reading Lee Kuan Yew’s book From Third World to First, and I was astonished to the terseness and simplicity of his writing. It perhaps is a reflection of how he lives his life. I remember being inspired by him. A world class leader who wrote very simply! My English teacher would probably give me poor marks if I wrote like Mr. Lee Kuan Yew!

There is so much power in removing the unnecessary. In writing, you convey to the readers what you want to say without distracting them from the core message. You remove the noise. You become clear.

What are the things in your life that are unnecessary? Remove them and focus on what truly matters.
