I was really struck by this post on X.

I think it depends on the degree of closeness to that person. The closer you are to that person, the more that they want to see you succeed. But if you are not that close, I think they do feel intimidated when they see you succeed.
It is simply part of human nature. When someone else succeed, it triggers some sort of insecurity to the next person. Their ego is somewhat struck – hence, they want to somehow put you down.
But as for my case, I want everyone to win! I am fighting against human nature, possibly. When someone loses weight, becomes better at a skill, makes wise financial decisions, my level of respect to that person increases a lot. I have been through many personal transformations that I know how hard it is to be better at something.
If you went through the fire to succeed at something, I respect you! Go get it, son! Let’s all win!
