I have been creating WordPress plugins using ChatGPT. I just saved hundreds of dollars using ChatGPT instead of paid solutions.
The thing is if you have a high level understanding of code, you can ask ChatGPT to do the grunt work for you. ChatGPT can even explain the code for you step by step.
The landscape has changed dramatically since ChatGPT and LLM’s came into existence. It is almost as if any software has no more moat. ChatGPT can make it for you at a fraction of a cost. I pay $20 for my subscription and compared the the value I get from creating my own plugins, $20 is too cheap!
We live in crazy times indeed. If you are a creator who cannot code but are willing to at least have a rudimentary understanding of how code works, you can build anything for yourself.
Software is almost free. I fear for the kids who studied and paid for a Computer Science degree. And for the people whose livelihood depends on the software that they spent hours tinkering. Fixing bugs takes a lot out of you!
We live in exciting yet scary times. But what a time to be alive!
